No One Can Snatch Us Out of His Hand

Hi sweet friends! I just wanted to share a couple verses with you that the Lord has shown me. He has been really using them in my life and I couldn't help but share them with you! "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they know me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." John 10: 27-30. Isn't that amazing? No on can snatch us out of God's hand. He will always protect us, always provide for us, and always be there for us when nobody else will. If that doesn't make you excited then I don't know what else will! Thanks for letting me share these verses with you! Have a blessed week!

Love

I just wanted to share some verses with you guys. They are really popular, but they have been really speaking to me lately and with everything going on in my life. And I'm sure they will speak in some of your lives too! "If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. LOVE NEVER FAILS!!!!! 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 This is what perfect love looks like!!!

Thank You Jesus!!

Hello blog world! I just wanted to post some things I'm thankful for. It's getting to be that time again! 1.) Fall!! I'm so glad we have different seasons and I equally love all of them!! Wouldn't it be so boring if we just had one season all of the time? I love fall because, all of the leaves change and it starts getting cooler, you can get cuddled up by the fire and read a good book (one of my all time favorite things to do), and there's Thanksgiving of course! One of my favorite holidays! 2.) Good friends that I can come to for anything and they will listen to me and pray for me and give their input. I'm so so thankful!! 3.) Sisters. Where would I be without her?! I am a seriously blessed girl. 4.) Football!! I know this is kind of a weird one but I LOVE watching football with my daddy!! Go Cowboys!! 5.) Horseback riding. I LOVE it so much! When I'm on a horse it is the most amazing feeling ever. I don't ever want to get off when I'm done! Haha! This girl loves her some horseback riding! What are you thankful for?

Zephaniah 3:17

The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Some of My Favorite Verses

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil on the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set and example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you many declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. the Lord is near, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Philippians 4:4-8

First Day of School

Well today was our first day back to school and let me just tell you I wasn't looking forward to it. I mean this summer was perfect and I didn't want it to end. But, today went really well and I'm actually kind of glad to be back at it. We are trying a new system out this year and it is working out really well. We had a yummy breakfast of crepes and everything went really swell and it didn't really take as long as last year. I'm looking forward to this year and I know it will be good to us!! We are doing a lot of co-ops this year and I'm really excited about them. Have you started school yet? If you have, how is it going for you?

Last Swim of the Summer

Today we had our last swim of the summer at our gym's outdoor pool. I am very sentimental so it was hard for me to leave. I love going to the pool. Laying in the sun and playing in the water is one of my favorite things to do. We went with our friends, the Greens and had an awesome time with them. We got snow cones and played and talked trying to get as much out of the summer as we possibly could. I can't wait until next summer to swim again! I hope you all have a super weekend!!!

Seven Course Meal

Last Sunday we went to this place called Life Abundant Ministries and had a SEVEN course meal! We went to hear Graham Cooke speak and he talked about going to one so we thought we would have one. The point of the meal was to get to know people you didn't know so for every course you moved to a different seat to talk to someone new. It was really fun. We had fruit, soup, salad, rolls, chicken spaghetti, dessert, and coffee/hot chocolate. I was so full after!! The kids served the meal, which was a great way to get to know the people too. I loved having the seven course meal and I hope we get to do it more. You should have one and invite people you don't know that well. If you have one, comment on this post to tell me how it was!! I hope you all have a great weekend and a great week! WE are starting school Monday, so pray that it all starts off swell!!

London Olympics 2012

Don't you just love the Olympics?! I look forward to them every time they come on and I watch them every day. The concept of it is just the coolest thing. All of the countries in the world coming together to show their God-given talents. My favorite sports to watch are gymnastics, swimming, track and field, and beach volleyball. I'm so proud of the gymnastics girls for the getting the gold and for Missy Franklin in swimming for getting gold too!! I love listening to all of the athletes stories of how they got to the Olympics. They are just amazing. I'm so sad that they are ending tomorrow and can't wait till the next summer Olympics (because they are my favorite). What are your favorite sports to watch?! P.S. Happy Fourth of July!!

Happy Fourth of July everyone!!! I hope you are having a great Independence day. I love all the fireworks and parties and fun, but mostly I like to know that we are living in a free country!!! Isn't that such a great feeling?! We can worship God whenever we want and we can vote for whoever we want for president. We have so much freedom. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes that's a bad thing. So we shouldn't take our freedom for granted. I hope you have a very merry Fourth of July and remember all of our troops who have made this day possible for all of us.

So Many Subjects I Don't Have a Title For This Post

This week we had Camp Chosen and it was so much fun!! I was a junior mentor for the group of second and third grade girls. Chosen is a bible study for girls 8-12 and I have learned so much by taking it. If any of you read my blog and live in Amarillo and are girls you should totally go to it and comment on this post if you want to learn more about Chosen. I think it has totally helped me have a closer relationship with God. Today is Canada Day!!! My mom is from Canada and we celebrate it around here. She is a United States citizen though. But she still celebrates like every Canadian holiday. (We even have our Canadian flag up today. I would take a picture of it but I don't know where the camera is.) My mom's family who lives in Canada is at a cabin for two weeks and I want to be there soooooooooo bad, but we are going there in August, so it's not that far away. Please pray for Ellie this week. She is going to Angelfire with her best friend who moved to Austin and this is her first time to go away without my mom or dad.

Kari Jobe Concert

Last night we went to a Kari Jobe concert and it was AMAZING!!!! She is such a powerful and spiritual worship leader. I loved seeing and listening to her worship and she is really pretty too!! She leads worship at Gateway church in Dallas, Texas and it was nice of her to come to Amarillo to do a concert. Her parents came to see her too, which I thought was really sweet. If you haven't listened to Kari Jobe, I think you should as soon as you can! You won't be disappointed.

Brave

Yesterday we saw the movie 'Brave' and it was awesome!! It was a really good story and it had a lot of good lessons in it as well. My favorite character is Merida because she is really brave and she has the most amazing hair EVER!!!! There were a lot of things in the movie that I didn't expect to happen, but that's all I'm going to say about it because I don't want to give it away! I really recommend 'Brave' to anyone. Go as soon as you can to your nearest theater and go watch it! I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Believe

Today we got the new Justin Bieber album 'Believe'. It has some really awesome songs on it and I think it's his best album he has ever come out with. He is one of my favorite non-Christian artists. My favorite songs on this album are "As Long As You Love Me", "Believe", "All Around the World", and "Beauty and a Beat". As you can tell I have a lot of favorite songs.

Summer Fun Days

This week we had Summer Fun Days at our church and it was really fun!! We had the most kids than we've ever had come. I helped in the first and second grade room and let me just tell you it was tiring!!! Those kiddos DO NOT run out of energy!! The room was mostly full of boys which pretty much tells you everything, but it was so much fun watching them worship and learn about Jesus! We all got matching shirts which was new this year and you can see them on Ellie's blog which is www.elliekpeters.blogspot.com. I loved spending my week with those precious kiddos!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!

Happy Father's Day to my awesome and super sweet dad!! He is the best dad I could ever ask for and I love him so much! He provides for our family so well and I wouldn't trade him for anything on this earth. He tickles us, makes us laugh, and we have the best times together. I love my dad so much and I can't imagine my life without him!!! I love you so much Daddy!!!

Horseback Riding

Yesterday I had my first horseback riding lesson and I love love loved it!!!! It was so much fun learning all about how to brush the horse, how to saddle the horse, and how to ride the horse!! My horse's name was William which was perfect for me since I LOVE the Royal family. He was really tall so I had to use a step stool to get on him! I loved horseback riding and I want to do keep on doing it for a long time!

Mission Amarillo

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week I have done an outreach called Mission Amarillo. We play games, do a bible story, crafts, and love on precious kids. These people come from all around the world and need to be told about Jesus Christ. I just loved watching those kids scream and yell and have such a fun time, but some just stayed back and said nothing. They looked so hurt and some of them had stories that I couldn't even fathom. They just needed somebody to love them. They ask: "Can you hold me?" "Can I sit in your lap?" "Can I hold your hand?" "Can you give me a hug?" So will you join me in prayer for those sweet little ones and their families who don't deserve to live lives that they are living? They need all the prayer they can get and need to be loved by Jesus. I know you will and thank you.
