Our God Does What He Says

These verses have really been on my heart lately and I wanted to share them with you! They just tell of the magnificent grace of God and I cannot stop thinking about them! Our God is worthy of all of our worship and does what He says!

Here’s the story I’ll tell my friends when they come to worship, and punctuate it with Hallelujahs: Shout Hallelujah, you God-worshipers; give glory, you sons of Jacob; adore him, you daughters of Israel. He has never let you down, never looked the other way when you were being kicked around. He has never wandered off to do his own thing; he has been right there, listening. Here in this great gathering for worship I have discovered this praise-life. And I’ll do what I promised right here in front of the God-worshipers. Down-and-outers sit at God ’s table and eat their fill. Everyone on the hunt for God is here, praising him. “Live it up, from head to toe. Don’t ever quit!” From the four corners of the earth people are coming to their senses, are running back to God. Long-lost families are falling on their faces before him. God has taken charge; from now on he has the last word. All the power-mongers are before him —worshiping! All the poor and powerless, too —worshiping! Along with those who never got it together —worshiping! Our children and their children will get in on this As the word is passed along from parent to child. Babies not yet conceived will hear the good news— that God does what he says. (Psalm 22:22-31 MSG)

Ecuador Mission Trip: Part Two

Pretty much the whole reason our team went to Ecuador was to serve at Casa de Fe (which means House of Faith). It is a home for abandoned, abused, and orphaned children. God showed me how amazing His love is for me through those children. I didn't want to leave at the end of the week! I got so attached to those precious kids and their smiles. Our team worked with the construction crew, the leader was from America, but all of the other guys were from Ecuador and spoke no English at all. They were very funny though! I'll let you in on a little joke that went through the group. Since both my dad and the head of the construction crew were both bald, they were called Coco Uno and Coco Dos by the construction workers. And it kind of stuck on, and all throughout the trip my dad's new name was Coco. Everyone called him that. It was so funny! We made so many memories at Casa de Fe and I was devastated to have to leave all of my precious new friends!

Let me just tell you, we got a workout!

Ecuador Mission Trip: Part One

This past week I had the incredible honor and privilege of going to Ecuador with my home school Spanish class. My Spanish teacher and her husband were missionaries there and they took twenty-four of us to where they were missionaries in Shell, Ecuador. There are so many things that happened that I am going to have to split it all up into different parts.
The first day we went to church and it was so spirit filled. We sand songs in Spanish and the whole service was in Spanish. Even though I couldn't tell exactly what they were saying I could still tell that the Holy Spirit was in their words.
Here a some pictures from the first day...
P.S. Sorry I haven't blogged in like a year... :/

The church that we went to.

This needs no explanation.
